finals project

For our final in Emerging Technology we were asked to talk to our family to find out information from when they were younger and other interesting details. I started off with asking my grandma and aunt because there are always fun people to talk to. I found it faster to start with the interview because then you have everything for the rest of your project. When i had finished the interview  I found pictures that I could put on my family tree. Once that was done I had emailed my mom to see if she could help me gather some facts and information about my family that would help me with me finish my project. For my info-graphic it was really easy to come up with ideas and get that information with the help of my family.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.
 This thanks giving i am with my dad and we don't really have any traditions because i'm not normally with him. our plans for thanks giving so far is that were going over to his parents house and having dinner and then my brother and I will spend some time together because i don't get to see him much because hes over there so much When i'm with my mom we always go down to see the plaza lights and that's always a fun time. At midnight my sister and I go black Friday shopping until six and we always have a good time with each other. For the five day weekend i will probably be watching Netflix, eating and going shopping.

Reflecting on the comments and grade of your stop-motion animation... what you would do differently if you had to do it all over again? Would you manage your time better? Find better lighting for your photos? Come up with a better idea? Explain what you would change about your video.

In my stop motion animation i think i could of improved on my pictures and made a system to not make then as blurry. I could of took more time and took out the bad photos or the replaced them with better ones. If i had to do this over again I probably would try to something different from the people that i sit with since we all kinda did the same thing. I would definitely try to manage my time better and figure out a way to where i wasn't rushing. For my video i did have a few blurry photos and some of them i should of taken out because i didn't need them.

Tell me about your experience with taking your stop-motion photos. What problems did you run in to? What did you find difficult about the process? What would you go back and change about HOW you took the photos? Explain yourself.

my experience with stop motion photos was pretty good. My project wasn't hard for the most part, the only trouble i ran into was when i was placing the skittles. When we were placing the skittles they would ever so often fall out of my hands and then they would mess up and i would have to fix it but for the most part it turned out pretty good.

 Stop motion animation is when an object or a picture is appeared to be moving when it honestly isn't. It is a creation between frames to where its as if something is running or walking or the placement of something being arranged. its to the point where is is being moved shot by shot to make sure that the object is right where its suppose to be.

 My plan for my five frame story board is online shopping. I'm doing this because its one of my favorite things to do and i'm almost always online shopping. The begging of the story is going to your favorite website. I plan on making my five frames creative because its my favorite websites.the begging is of me choosing a website

Tell me about your weekend - details please!


My weekend was pretty good for the most part, On Friday Maddie, Lauren, Hannah and I went to Starbucks because it was three dollars the drinks there. Once we got back we went to Maddies and played on the playground with Maddies little sister Sophie and Molly. We went to lauren's a little bit later to get ready for the Halloween party later that night.  I was a Baseball player and so was maddie and then Lauren was ref. The night was amzing and we had a lot of fun with everybody.

 i don't know a  lot about editing photos but i o use apps for that. i usually take photos on my phone or on a camera. i do edit photos before i post them  just to make them look nicer and more complete. I do like taking photos because you can capture them memories you wont always remember.

On Friday i went to the BV game with some of my friends which was a lot of fun. On Saturday i went to the pumpkin patch with my mom sister and brother and we had a very good time there its nice o spend time with your family once in a while. Sunday morning we got up and i was really craving donuts and so we went to the Cider Mill to get some, which is our favorite place to get them.

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

I guess i never thought of it in this way. i personally have not been told to put a jacket on or not to wear a certain pair of shorts because of how short they are, but i do know people that have been told to put on longer shorts. Yes, i think its appropriate for a teacher to ask a student to change into something but if its for showing your shoulders then i wouldn't have a problem. if a male teacher were to come to me and tell me to put on longer shorts i would feel uncomfortable because i would of been looked at in a wrong way by someones whose older.

I think that if we got to choose our classes and learn what we want it would help us later in life. If we got to lean in our own style and it involved what we wanted to do when were older it would be much more useful than what were learning now; its not useful to our learning if we wont use it later in life.

My weekend was not as great as the other one. My mom wouldn't let me go shopping because she says i have a spending problem which totally ruined my whole week because now i have nothing to wear. My weekend was pretty casual i stayed in bed and watched netflix. I love Kansas i mean things could be better i really want to live in a city and have it known for something but Kansas is only known for farms and stuff but yeah. I really like the Plaza they have great stores, my favorite is Kate Spade and Houstons is really good. My favorite team is royals even though i don't watch to see whats going on its fun o hear about it on twitter.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!

 Homecoming was amazing and i had a blast with the person i went with. Our day started out with Maddie, Lauren and I went and got our nails done at 10 and got to talk to each other about our upcoming day. After that we met up at nordstrom cafe for lunch to wait for out makeup apt. Lunch was very good and we saw one of our best friends Catherine. After our make up we went apart for a while becuase we all had different hair times. I loved the way my hair turned out it was exactly what I was hoping it would look like. Once Maddie and Lauren were ready we meat at Maddies house to take pictures of the tree of us. I had a blast staurday night. sorry i cant post pictures rn i will edit it soon and them on

What are your favorite apps on your phone or tablet? Why?

 One of my favorite apps to use on my phone and computer is twitter because i like to keep up with whats going on and twitter ca be very interesting. My second favorite apps is netflix i send probably most of my life just watching new shows. I think the fastest i've finished a who series was one week it have six seasons and  twenty episodes per season and those are my favorite apps.

I don't really use email a lot but when i do its mainly to find out whats going on in my favorite stores. Email is another way people can communicate to people. People use email mainly to contact each other or if there's an important message that needs to be sent.

I really think that they are helpful tools to use in this class and it makes things so much easier and quicker to get there. Do you enjoy writing? When do you enjoy it? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why do you think the ability to write is so important no matter what kind of writing it is? Give an example that you enjoyed writing or hated writing. Why?

I don't really enjoys writing all the time. Its at our own pace and when its what we want to wright about. I like to write when i'm somewhere quite and where i can think i have a hard time thinking when theirs a lot of people around me. I like to write about my week and whats been going on in my life because i like to look back and see what was happening. I think its so important to be able to write because you will use it for everything in your like when your older. I really hate doing the time writing test i always pay more attention to the time than what i'm actually doing and i really enjoy writing about our weekend in this class.

This weekend was a nice and relaxing weekend. On friday I came home and took a little nap as well with getting in to a fight with my sister. My friends came over before the game to get ready and eat. The tigers did very well! West is not the Best i'll tell you that. The game is amazing when sitting in the stand with all the upperclass. Saturday i went shopping and out to eat with my brother an it was pretty fun, i don't think he enjoys shopping as much as i do though. Sunday wasn't really exciting i went to church and came home ad watched netflix and enjoyed a salad from Dean & Deluca.

 The importance of our research is to get to understand what problems there are around the world and that world hunger exist in some parts i the world. Even though world hunger doesn't exactly happen in the united states we should start noticing and taking part in whats going on around the world.

Kids these days are always on there technology. When i was there age we didn't have anything like that so we were always outside playing and now everyone is inside watching Netflix and doing nothing. I never see kids these days an when I do i'm happy that they are off there phones and having fun

This weekend was a pretty relaxing weekend. Friday night my friends and i went to the blue valley football game, they won which makes bv 1 and 0  over our two day brake I stayed in my room all day and watched Netflix. My mom left me for a night and told me to cook for myself and so i got her credit card and ordered myself pizza, posta, bread sticks and icing. it was amazing and pretty nice to have time to just relax

Yesterday I asked your to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.

I believed that you asked us to do this because it makes it more attractive and something people want us to look at. When a PSA comes on TV its usually loud or something that catches you eye. An announcement usually has a big meaning or something that you want to pop and be bright and bold and that's why i believe they do that.

Tell me all about your Labor Day weekend. What did you do? Include photos!

Over Labor day weekend, some of my friends and i went to the Santa Cali gon fair. we really had a great time! A lot of us have never been there and it was a net experience. I've gone to this exact fair for five years now so it was net getting to see my friends reactions for those of the that haven't been there. Also this weekend  Maddie, Lauren, Peyton and my friend Megan had a photo shoot its amazing to see what everybody can do infront of a camera and getting to see how the pictures turned out.

What i got from this is that you need to stop depending on other to do work for you and go do it your self. A lot of us go and as our parents to do stuff when we should honestly be doing it yourself. I know just from being me that when i'm doing something ill ask others to do stuff for me so i don't have to get up or stop my movie. I agree that a lot of us should start going out side and being more active, because later in life we not going to be given the same opportunity.

A PSA is usually an important announcement that they put across a television or on you phone. When there is a PCA its usually a big thing and should be noticed and that's why its set across your television. A PCA is something like how yoou should not be drinking and driving and things like that.

Blog Post of the Day:
After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."

What i took away from what Ashton Kutcher said was that you aren't better than the person next to you until you do something to prove it or do something that someone will remember you by. You can chose to be exactly like the person next to you, but the thing is you will never be better you will always be the same. If you chose to pass the person next to you show them that you are, show then that you have what it take to be better than that person show them that you have to push you self over and over again and keep getting stronger as you go. You have to start out flat but you can gradually get better as the time goes on and as the time going on you know what you can do and what are your stronger steps and which ones are your wearer ones. What Ashton said did mean something because he never quite he keep his job until he found a better on he was always trying to do better and get better at something, he was always trying to find something better than the time before.
